In the summer of 2020, the NBA finished its season inside a "bubble" at Walt Disney World in Florida. Unimpressed with the coffee on offer, Jimmy Butler set up a full coffee operation in his hotel room: an espresso machine, a French press, a pour-over setup and a menu of lattes, cappuccinos and macchiatos. He charged $20 a cup, the same price for every size. His first customer was teammate Goran Dragić. That hotel-room café became BIGFACE.
BIGFACE is a specialty coffee and lifestyle brand founded by NBA All-Star Jimmy Butler. It started in 2020, when Butler sold $20 cups of coffee from his hotel room in the NBA bubble. Today BIGFACE sources and roasts specialty coffee, runs a flagship café in Miami's Design District, and makes apparel, drinkware and brewing gear.
BIGFACE makes specialty coffee in two lines, sold as 250g bags of whole bean coffee. Omni coffees are multi-origin blends built to work as espresso, pour over or drip: Doublestar, Earthshine, Nebula and Kilonova. Isolated Origin coffees are seasonal single origins from one farm or community, each roasted specifically for espresso or for filter.
BIGFACE buys directly from farmers and producers in Central America, South America and Africa, and lists the origin, producer, process and altitude for every single-origin coffee. Recent lots come from Huila, Colombia; Cajamarca and Junín, Peru; Saraguro, Ecuador; and the Kanzu Community in Rwanda.
BIGFACE is based in Miami. Its flagship café is at 40 NE 40th St in the Miami Design District, open Monday–Saturday 9am–6pm and Sunday 9am–5pm. Coffee ships nationwide and internationally from bigfacebrand.com.

Each Isolated Origin coffee is roasted and dialed in for one brew method. Espresso coffees are developed to extract well under pressure and hold up in milk. Filter coffees are roasted to show clarity and brightness in pour over and drip. Omni blends are designed to work for both.
