LOS NOGALES
This release comes from the high hills of Huila, Colombia, where Maria Rosa and her family grow coffee with deep intention and generational pride. Despite the modest size of their farm, Maria and her husband Antonio chose to plant Caturra, Typica, and Tabi, three delicate, high-quality cultivars rarely seen together. At 2,000 meters above sea level, the altitude allows these varieties to thrive, ripening slowly and developing deep sweetness and layered complexity.
This washed lot is roasted specifically for espresso, delivering a syrupy, expressive shot. Expect floral aromatics, candy-like sweetness, and a juicy mouthfeel, with notes of maraschino cherry, blackcurrant, and stone fruit - rounded out by a buttery finish and winey acidity.
Maria’s eldest son, Robinson, is a respected leader in the ASORCAFE growers’ association, and the entire family is committed to elevating their community through quality and care. Maria herself is an inspiration throughout the region, and her coffee reflects that same quiet strength: elegant, confident, and full of character.
